So it's finally summer time ( even if the constant rain leads you to believe otherwise ), and me and the girls are getting all geared up for festival season by getting to as many concerts and gigs are possible. We've been really lucky here in Sunderland as recently we've had Take That and Kings of Leon come to our local football ground The Stadium Of Light.  A few weeks ago, me, my boyfriend Luke and two of my other friend Polly and Chris, went to Evolution Festival in Newcastle, such a brilliant weekend, and we saw acts such as Iggy and The Stooges, Katy B, Plan B, Example and many more.Here's a few photos of our antics:

Art Inspiration: The marble effect.

I've just stumbled across these an interesting pieces of art. I'm beginning to research into conceptual artists, so keep posted for more of my findings. I'm trying to find relatively unknown artists who have beautiful and interesting pieces, as I mentioned in the last post, I don't want my magazine to be a mainstream read.

At the moment, all the work I'm doing for my final major project is still in the early stages, and can only be classed as initial research. I've got so many ideas for shoots and articles and hopefully I'll be able to share my progress on this blog.

I'm really obsessing over the idea of some kind of voodoo theme shoot, as the idea for my magazine is to be mainly based on avante garde fashion. So, I've just stumbled across this great shoot,  I'm really inspired by the make up and although the make up is effective, is it will be fairly easy for me to achieve this look  on my budget.
